* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
continues.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Kentucky, including the following
counties, Boyd, Carter and Greenup, southeast Ohio, including the
following counties, Gallia, Jackson and Lawrence, and western West
Virginia, including the following counties, Cabell and Wayne.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and
flood-prone locations is occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 240 PM EDT, Reports indicate several road closures remain
due to flooding, particularly across Lawrence County in
southeast Ohio. Moderate to occasionally heavy rain will move
back into the area later this afternoon and early evening.
This may prolong and exacerbate the flooding through the
evening hours. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches
are possible into the evening hours.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Grayson, Coal Grove, Olive Hill, Oak Hill, Chesapeake,
Proctorville, Lake Vesuvius, Milton, Catlettsburg, Ceredo,
Greenup and Naples.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll
free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Kentucky, including the following
counties, Boyd, Carter, Greenup and Lawrence, southeast Ohio,
including the following counties, Athens, Gallia, Jackson OH,
Lawrence OH, Meigs, Morgan, Perry, Vinton and Washington, and West
Virginia, including the following counties, Cabell, Jackson WV,
Mason, Pleasants, Putnam, Ritchie, Tyler, Wayne, Wirt and Wood.

* WHEN...Through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of small rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. In
addition, mainstem river flooding may eventually develop over the
weekend and early next week. This would include the Hocking River,
Muskingum River, Little Sandy River, and eventually the Ohio River.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected through the
weekend, as a front waffles back and forth over the middle
Ohio Valley. The current total rainfall forecast indicates
amounts to 3 inches across western West Virginia. Rainfall
totals of 4 to 5 inches with locally
higher amounts are forecasted across northeast Kentucky and
southeast Ohio where the potential for significant flooding
exists. All of these forecasted amounts include what has
already fallen.
