We begin the day with patches of dense fog up until 9 a.m. Today is a WRAL Weather Alert Day due to the Level 1 risk of severe storms that's been expanded into the Triangle and Sandhills. This accounts for the threat for isolated severe storms between Noon and 5 p.m. High temperatures reach near 80 degrees outside of any storms.
