Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner here in the weather center. It's another WRAL Weather Alert Day. Our Flood Watch ends this morning for our Sandhills Counties but continues for everywhere else through 2 AM Wednesday. The coverage of showers and storms will be less than what we saw yesterday but scattered showers will still be likely and perhaps with most coverage in the afternoon for the commute home from work and school. A Level 1 risk out of 5 for severe storms has been issued now, mainly for damaging gusts. Hail is possible west of US-1. A brief tornado is possible east of I-95. Highs in the upper 70s-lower 80s.
