After battling to 5-5 through 12, senior captain Wallace Clark came through in the clutch, launching a walk-off home run to left field to secure the win and set up a Sunday rubber match.

The eighth-ranked Blue Devils kicked off their six-game homestand with a tight 11-9 win against Saint Joseph’s. Overcoming a game-long battle to clear the ball and find an offensive rhythm, a hat trick from senior midfielder Andrew McAdorey, a career-best game for sophomore long-stick midfielder Mac Christmas and a commanding effort at the faceoff by junior Luke Engelke powered a game that left their undefeated record intact.

Such was the case for Duke in Saturday evening’s 106-70 dispatching of Stanford, as the Blue Devils posted one of the best offensive performances in the program’s storied history according to KenPom. While head coach Jon Scheyer’s contingent has consistently proved to be one of the best in the nation, the victory against the Cardinal was the first time everything clicked on the same night — and the result was a near-flawless offensive performance.

No. 3 Duke cruised to a 106-70 victory over Stanford Saturday afternoon behind a spectacular shooting performance. It was the highest scoring output of the season for the home team, beating out Nov. 8’s 100-point total against Army. Five Blue Devils scored in double digits to overpower the Cardinal, with Tyrese Proctor’s 23 points pacing the team in scoring.
