The most dangerous states in the nation have been revealed in a new ranking, which calculated violent crime rates and property crime rates per 100,000 people from coast to coast. The ranking includes states that contain many of the country's most famous beauty spots - but they're also home to cities and large towns plagued by crime. All the states featured are hotspots of violent crime including robberies, assaults and murders.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) held a briefing Friday, revealing when the agency will know how the severe geomagnetic storm will impact Earth. At least five streams of plasma are barreling toward Earth, which officials said could unfold like the worst geomagnetic super-storm in history when they make impact Friday night. Shawn Dahl, a space weather forecaster at NOAA, said the worst-case scenario would be what happened during the Carrington event in 1859, but our modern-day would see widespread electrical disruptions, blackouts and damage to critical infrastructure. 'We anticipate we will get one shock after another. We are really buckling down here,' Dahl said during the Friday media briefing.

Dharmesh Patel, 42, is charged with the attempted murder of his wife Neha and their two kids near San Francisco, by intentionally driving their Tesla off a 330- foot cliff . The incident happened on January 2 last year, and allegedly saw his hospitalized clan tell paramedics, 'he tried to kill us'. Psychologists, however, have testified Patel appeared increasingly delusional in the days before the crash, culminating in a one-time psychotic episode. Earlier this month, Patel's wife begged for his release - stressing that she and her children, aged four and seven, 'need him in our life.' A two-year, 'mental health diversion' program that would see him released is now being considered.

President Joe Biden called North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un the president of South Korea at a closed-door fundraiser in San Francisco Friday. Biden, 81, was going after his 2024 rival, former President Donald Trump, for praising the North Korean leader after they met a handful of times during the Republican's administration.

Instead, Patti believes that her husband suffered from ROPE - Rapid Onset Pulmonary Edema which caused his death. She alleges that all three of the defendants had failed to educate the public about the potential dangers of ROPE

A new report by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) reveals 15 cities where home values have dropped this year. Among them are neighborhoods in New York, Texas and Florida. These areas are at-odds with a nationwide trend which has seen the median price of a single-family home rise 5 percent year-on-year to a median of $389,400. At the same time, mortgage rates have once again surpassed 7 percent - meaning buyers face paying more than $900 a month on a standard home than if they had bought two years ago.

Rendell Hoagland, 52, and his fiancé Cindy Warren, 45, were charged in the death of his daughter Malinda after officials found her with multiple broken bones and 'barely alive' on Saturday in West Caln. 'Doctors found a child who was emaciated. She weighed 50 pounds,' said Chester County District Attorney Christopher L. de Barrena-Sarobe. 'She was covered in bruises. She had a half dozen broken bones, at least. Her organs were failing and ultimately she died while she was being treated at the hospital.' Malinda was found after Hoagland called 911 claiming his daughter hit a tree while riding her bicycle and lost consciousness,

A man said he was forced to use his Taekwando training to save his dog's life after a pitbul attacked them during a walk. Fred Schiller from Houston, Texas told local ABC affiliate KTRK that he was walking his small dog, Verve, when the pitbull came running from across the street. He said the pitbull went straight for Verve and started biting down on the dog's neck.

Former Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder and his wife Tanya Snyder have donated their 30,000-square-foot Potomac, Maryland, mansion to the American Cancer Society. In February 2023, the billionaire and his wife put the five bedroom, six-and-a-half bathroom mansion in Potomac, Maryland , on the market for $49million. A few months later, the couple lowered the price of the 30,000-square-foot property to $34.9million before they decided to take it off the market in March. It is unclear exactly why the couple decided to donate to the charity, but donating a home can result in substantial tax benefits. The American Cancer Society said that Dan and Tanya are 'passionate advocates' for cancer research.

Donald Trump revealed his son Barron is becoming a chip off the old block - he likes politics and enjoys giving his father advice.  'He's really been a great student. And he does like politics.
