Fire Damages Dallas Bay Home Saturday Afternoon; 2 Pets Perish

A kitchen fire caused significant damage to a home in Dallas Bay area Saturday afternoon. A homeowner called 911 at 3:15 p.m. reporting a kitchen fire at 1503 Ribbonwood Drive. The Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded and arrived on the scene reporting heavy smoke showing on all four sides of the home. Firefighters quickly entered the home to find heavy fire in the kitchen. The homeowner stated that they had been cooking in a crockpot and left to go to the store, coming home to find the kitchen on fire. Two pets perished in the fire and damages were estimated at $100,000. The Dallas Bay VFD requested a mutual aid response with additional manpower. Chattanooga ... (click for more)

2 Of Those Shot On Arlington Avenue Die From Their Wounds

Three people were shot late Wednesday afternoon. Two of the men, 19 and 21, have died as a result of their injuries.
