The Earth in Common

Earth Day was first celebrated on April 22, 1970 and continues to be a world-wide effort to raise awareness of environmental issues. On Earth Day in 2016, the Paris Agreement was signed by 175 nations. This year's theme is "Planet vs Plastics," which features a campaign to reduce plastic production by 60% by the year 2040. See the environmental lessons featured below to guide youth exploration.

This poem by Amanda Gorman may spark some awe and motivation to act.
