By Mia Anthony Vendors along the seawall between Camp Road and Vlissengen Road were yesterday ordered to remove by the Sea Defence Board (SDB) and Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill said they had violated the terms of their occupancy of the spots.

E Field, Sophia residents complete ICT training programme

Approximately 40 residents from E Field Sophia and surrounding areas completed the Office of the Prime Minister’s Industry and Innovation Unit’s Basic ICT Community Training Programme. The programme is designed to expand a beginner’s knowledge within the field of study. It provides a solid foundation in several areas, including Microsoft Office, computer components and a generalised understanding of online security, a release from the Office of the Prime Minister said. Bartica businessman remanded over gun, ammo

Ray Anthony Persaud, a 28-year-old businessman of Lot 14, 4th Avenue, Bartica, Essequibo River was charged yesterday with the unlawful possession of a firearm without a licence and unlawful possession of ammunition without a  licence.
