Forlorn:

An entry in the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce’s 58th Anniversary of Independence Photography Competition. The location is Mocha, East Bank Demerara and it was described by photographer Ghomattie Persaud as follows: A creek, a mirror of blue-green, was bordered by rows of brown trees that stood forlorn. Putin warns of global clash as Russia marks victory in World War Two

MOSCOW, (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the West today of risking a global conflict and said no one would be allowed to threaten the world’s biggest nuclear power as Russia marked the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two.
