Greetings Sorors and Friends!
On behalf of the members of Lansing Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I welcome you to our official website.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 13, 1913 by 22 collegiate women at Howard University to promote academic excellence and provide assistance to those in need. Since its founding, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., has become one of the preeminent service-based sororities, with more than 300,000 members and over 1,000 chapters worldwide.
Lansing Alumnae Chapter was chartered on March 20, 1960 by 12 women who were dedicated and determined to make an impact in the Greater Lansing community through scholarship and public service. Our chapter serve Lansing, East Lansing, Grand Ledge, Haslett, Jackson, Mason, Okemos, Williamston, Holt and DeWitt.
For over 62 years, Lansing Alumnae Chapter has worked hard to uphold the ideals and continue the legacy of the 22 Founders by implementing programs that focus on the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic thrust:
