Sunday's weather: Fine and cool conditions across the country

There will be fine and cool conditions across most of the country on Sunday, according to the South African Weather Service.

Gauteng will be fine and cool. The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

Mpumalanga will be fine and cool but cold in places in the eastern Highveld, while warm in the Lowveld.

Limpopo will be fine and cool but warm in the Lowveld.

The North-West Province and Free State will be fine and cool, while the Northern Cape will be cloudy along the coast and its adjacent interior, where it will be partly cloudy in the afternoon, otherwise fine and cold to cool. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly becoming moderate south-westerly in the afternoon.

The Western Cape will be cloudy to partly cloudy and cool but cold in places over the west and south-western parts where light rain is expected in places, clearing in the afternoon.

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-westerly but westerly along the south-coast where it will become light and variable from late afternoon.

The expected UVB sunburn index is low.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be partly cloudy and cool, but cloudy with a very slight chance of light rain in places along the coast.

The wind along the coast will be fresh south-westerly, becoming light to moderate in the evening.

In the eastern half of the province it will be cold in the north-east, otherwise fine and cool, becoming cloudy in the east by evening. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly, becoming fresh south-westerly from mid-morning.

KwaZulu-Natal will experience morning fog over the northern interior and cold in places in the extreme west, otherwise fine and cool but warm in places in the east. It will become partly cloudy from the south in the evening. The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly to north-easterly, becoming moderate south-westerly from the south towards midday.
