- South Africa recorded 772 new cases of Covid-19 by Monday.

- The number of people who have died of Covid-19 in South Africa is now 19 465, and the recovery rate is 90%.
South Africa recorded 54 more Covid-19-related deaths and 772 new cases, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said on Monday night.
"As of today [Monday], the cumulative number of detected Covid-19 cases is 727 595 with 772 new cases identified since the last report. Regrettably, we report 54 Covid-19-related deaths today."
Mkhize said 24 were from the Eastern Cape, 13 from the Free State, one from KwaZulu-Natal, two from Limpopo, one from Mpumalanga, nine from the Northern Cape and four from the Western Cape.

Of the 54 deaths reported by Monday, four were reported to have occurred in the past 24 to 48 hours: one in KwaZulu-Natal and three in the Western Cape.
"This brings the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 19 465," Mkhize said.
Recoveries stand at 657 500.
