Community Continues Embrace of Citizens in Need

By Lynn Jones – The Greater El-Beth-El Holiness Church honored Juneteenth by feeding the community. Bishop Lorenzo Hall and members fed more than two hundred individuals at his monthly food giveaway.   Distributed food included poultry, meats, vegetables, canned goods and perishable items to residents in the community and anyone in need. Social distancing guidelines were in full force as items were placed in cars that drove up.
 “We have to keep our pulse on the community as we move forward with aiding the cause to assist all people, regardless of race, creed or color,” he added.
Stopping by to show support were state and local dignitaries, organizations that partner with the church. Shown are giveaway recipients Donald Golden and Lucinda Riley.
