Da Brat is opening up about her relationship life. Recently, the rapper confirmed that she’s dating Jesseca Dupart and talked broadly about her journey with sexuality. Da Brat identifies herself as bisexual, and her relationship history includes dating a controversial Love & Hip Hop cast member.
During an interview with Kandi Burruss on Burruss’s YouTube series Speak On It, the rapper talked about several high profile relationships from her past. While she’s dated both men and women, Da Brat says Allen Iverson, the NBA star, swept her off her feet.

Iverson and Da Brat met back in the 1990s while they were at the peak of their careers. The rapper says she met the entire family of Iverson and says she was attracted to him because he loved the families from both sides. The two visited places together, and Iverson took Da Brat to Japan for the first time.
She admits playing the girlfriend role, making every effort to make Iverson happy, and show appreciation for the treats he gave her. However, Da Brat became suspicious about Iverson’s playboy ways with time.
“I was like, ‘This is it!’ But then I think you know, basketball players? H**s,” she says. “He had a baby mama, some kids. He had a lot of stuff going on.”The rapper says she tried ignoring the NBA star’s bachelor lifestyle but he didn’t stop cheating. She eventually had to call it quits when she later found out that Iverson was in intimate relationships with some of her close friends.
Apparently, Iverson has five children with Tawanna Iverson. They’ve been together since high school, though their marriage was ruined by Iverson’s infidelity. The couple split several times, and in 2013 they divorced officially.
Meanwhile, Da Brat is in love with Dupart, and she’s the first woman she’s gone public with. While the rapper said she’s ready to marry Dupart, she prefers keeping the details of their relationship private.
