The Demerara zone of the Guyana Cricket Board/Tropical Springs Over-40 T20 competition saw both scheduled matches at the Enmore Cricket Club ground yesterday ending in walkovers.

Despite heavy rainfall on the East Coast of Demerara, the ground was ready for play as per schedule but only three players turned up for undefeated side, WD Mavericks. At 10.45 hours, the match was awarded to Regal, who has  surged to the top of the table with 11 points from five matches.

Similarly, the second match scheduled for the day saw brilliant sunshine going to waste as RP Construction were awarded three points due to a no-show from KV Construction.

This is the fifth time in as many matches that KV Construction has failed to turn up. With the three points, RP Construction are on 10 points.

Tomorrow’s action at the venue will see the penultimate round unfolding with Regal returning to battle WD Masters in the morning match while RP Construction will take on Bel Air Rubis Ultra Tec in the afternoon match.
