There’s no better way to kick off the summer than to hobnob with the chicest influencers and celebrities at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. On Saturday, June 3, 2023, guests filled the Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey to drink and be merry at the daytime fête that overlooked New York City.
To kick off the day, Broadway star Brennyn Lark gave a heart-warming performance of the National Anthem, that was followed by over 7,000 spectators gathering to watch polo player Nacho Figueras of Team Veuve Clicquot and his wife Delfina Blaquier take on Team Liberty Comets for a polo match. Delfina was the star player on the field and took home the award for Most Valued Player, but truly everyone in attendance was a star—with looks to die for.
Guests at every inch of the event wore stunning attire, but attendees in the VIP tent killed it. For starters, Danai Gurira stunned in an orange and black pleated dress; fashion designer Carly Cushnie wore a yellow dress with a deep v-neck; and Gayle King rocked a floral dress that paired nicely with a white denim jacket. And of course, fascinators were present at every turn during the immersive experience.
The sold-out Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic wasn’t complete without the menswear in full effect. Stylish men made an appearance in tailored 3-piece suits, khaki shorts, linen sports jackets, pastel colored ties, and naturally, multicolored polo shirts. It was a see-and-be-seen event with glasses (and bottles) of Veuve Clicquot Champagne in hand.
