Four Western Cape men have been arrested for allegedly robbing a post office in Caledon. It was the second post office robbery in the province in two days.
The men were apprehended on Wednesday, hours after the Caledon robbery took place.
At around 11:00, robbers held the staff at the post office in Plein Street at gunpoint and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash in a VW Golf, said police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut.
"Investigation led the police to a residence in Zwelihle in Hermanus, where the four suspects, aged 25 to 35, were arrested in possession of the stolen cash, as well as an unlicensed 9mm pistol. The getaway vehicle was also confiscated," said Traut.
Once charged, the suspects were expected to make a court appearance in Caledon on charges of business robbery and the possession of an unlicensed firearm.

The arrests came after a man suspected of being part of a gang that robbed the De Doorns Post Office was killed during a high-speed chase near Paarl on Tuesday.
A group of men held post office staff at gunpoint before making off with cash and SA Social Security Agency cards.
Four people were arrested and will appear in the De Doorns Magistrate's Court once charged.
