DOH Behavioral Health, Alcoholism and Drug Dependency Office Relocates on St. Croix

Government of the United States Virgin Islands Department of Health

Commissioner of Health Justa E. Encarnacion advises the St. Croix public of the grand opening of the department’s Behavioral Health, Alcoholism and Drug Dependency (BHADD) Services Office on Wednesday, Dec. 7. The Office’s new temporary location is 3012 Estate Golden Rock, Christiansted, VI 00820.

Services available at the Golden Rock location include outpatient clinic services, individual therapy, group therapy, clubhouse, and substance prevention and intervention services. Methadone clinic services will continue to be provided at the Charles Harwood Memorial Complex (CHMC) until further notice.

In 2017, the Harwood Complex sustained extensive damage as a result of hurricanes Irma and Maria. Shortly afterward, the Behavioral Health, Alcoholism and Drug Dependency Office was relocated to modular units erected behind the Harwood Complex. To ensure the health and safety of clients and staff, today’s relocation is in response to the environmental conditions that have since developed in the modulars.

For additional information or to schedule an appointment, contact the Division of Behavioral Health, Alcoholism and Drug Dependency Services at 643-8985.
