- Three more police stations were temporarily closed in Mpumalanga due to Covid-19.
- Two will reopen on Friday, and the other on Sunday.
- The province has registered just over 12 000 cases.
Three more police stations in Mpumalanga have had to temporarily close due to a member testing positive for Covid-19.
On Wednesday, 29 July, the Nelspruit police station and the Elukwatini police station were temporarily shut.
"The community service centre [for Nelspruit] will now be operated from a mobile caravan, which is placed at the front entrance of Nelspruit SAPS," police spokesperson Brigadier Leonard Hlathi said.
In addition, the community service centre for Elukwatini will be operating from Elukwatini Community Hall, situated next to the sports field near the police station.
Both police stations are expected to reopen on Friday.

On Thursday, Mpumalanga police further advised that Kamhlushwa police station was temporarily closed after a member tested positive for the virus.
The community service centre will now be in operation from the Kamhlushwa Community Hall, next to the Nkomazi municipality offices.
The building will be decontaminated and services are expected to resume on Sunday, 2 August.
The province has recorded 12 442 cases, 6 393 recoveries and 65 deaths, as of 29 July.
