Actress and Garcelle Beauvais can now add daytime talk show host to her repertoire. The 53 year old has been announced as the newest co-host of “The Real,” according to Variety

Beauvais will make her debut on the series starting in season seven, which is set to kick off on Sept. 21. The panel will consist of Beauvais, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Adrienne Houghton. Actress and comedian Amanda Seales was a co-host briefly, joining the show earlier this year in January, before departing this past June.

When asked about the news, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star said, “I am thrilled to be joining the dynamic, bold and diverse women on the award-winning talk show ‘The Real.’ ” She continued, “My love for pop culture and news, blended with my natural gift of gab, has always made me gravitate towards a talk show environment. It’s also exciting that it’s happening right after my amazing time joining ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’ ”

The actress confirmed the news on her Instagram page on Monday, Aug. 24, with a photo she reposted from “The Real” ‘s Instagram account. Fans flocked to the comments section and congratulated the star on her new gig, including model Beverly Johnson who wrote, “Yes!!!!! How fabulous!! Congratulations we will be watching for sure 😍😍😍😍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.”

While many fans applauded Beauvais on her new role, they also urged the star not to quite her Bravo job. One user wrote, “Congratulations. I hope you will also stay with RHOBH. You are a favorite of mine.” Meanwhile, another fan commented, “Yesssss honey, you stay with a JOB. Don’t be leaving RHOBH though. We still need you to gather the girls lol 😂.”

In 2020, the actress became the first Black cast member on ‘RHOBH’ when she joined the popular Bravo reality series. The star also previously has co-hosted the syndicated entertainment show “Hollywood Today Live!” that aired on Fox-owned television stations.
