The Ministry of Communities yesterday donated a $34.8 Million garbage truck to the Georgetown Municipality, according to the Department of Public Information (DPI).
During a handover ceremony at the City Hall, de facto Minister within the Ministry of Communities, with responsibility for Housing, Annette Ferguson noted that the garbage disposal will improve the waste collection in and around the city.
This donation is the second garbage truck the Georgetown Mayor and City Council has received, with last year’s truck being worth $45 Million.
