Frodo, the dog feared drowned, reunited with owner

Frodo, the Boxer dog, has been found after disappearing while chasing birds on the rocks during a beachwalk in East London last Sunday.

It was feared he may have drowned when he disappeared.

The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) said Frodo's owner called to say that, after scouring the beach the whole week, the beach manager at Orient Beach alerted him to a possible sighting. 

Geoff McGregor, NSRI East London station commander, said Frodo had been seen running on the sand and darting into the bushes. 

He was eventually found on the beach, much to the joy of his people. 

Last week, the NSRI launched a search after Frodo was presumed to have been swept off the rocks.
