The South African Weather Service has issued a veld fire warning for two provinces on Wednesday, otherwise partly cloudy to cold temperatures are expected.

Conditions favourable for the development of veld fires are expected in the eastern parts of the Northern Cape, western parts of the Free State and extreme south-western parts of the North West.

Gauteng will be fine and cool.

Mpumalanga will be cloudy along the escarpment in the morning, with morning fog patches where it will be cold, otherwise fine and cool but partly cloudy on the Lowveld.
In Limpopo, there will be morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise fine and warm but partly cloudy and cool in the east.
Conditions in the North West and Free State will be fine and cool to warm.
In the Northern Cape, there will be morning frost over the southern high ground, otherwise fine and cool, but cold in the west.
The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly, reaching gale force at times north of Hondeklip Bay.
The Western Cape will be cloudy to partly cloudy and cold, with isolated rain and showers along the south coast, becoming fine in the west from midday.
The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly west of Cape Agulhas, otherwise moderate to fresh south-westerly.
The expected UVB sunburn index is low.
In the western half of the Eastern Cape, it will be partly cloudy and cold but cloudy with isolated showers along the coast and adjacent interior. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-easterly.
The eastern half of the Western Cape will be cloudy and cold with isolated showers south of the escarpment. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate easterly.
There will be morning fog over the interior in KwaZulu-Natal, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and cool but cold in places.
Isolated showers are expected in the east and Midlands. The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly to south-easterly, becoming north-easterly in the evening.
