TS Galaxy blow as Karabo Tshepe sidelined for the season

TS Galaxy winger Karabo Tshepe has confirmed that he will miss the rest of the DStv Premiership season due to a knee injury.

TS Galaxy winger Karabo Tshepe has confirmed that he will miss the rest of the DStv Premiership season due to a knee injury.

The 32-year-old signed for The Rockets at the start of the campaign after parting ways with Black Leopards last season.

Karabo Tshepe has only made four appearances for Galaxy in the DStv Premiership this term and has now revealed that a knee injury will sideline him for two months.

“I’ve just done an operation after the injury I sustained last year, but I made it worse when I continued to play with it,” he told Kickoff.

“Maybe end of May I will be removing the brace and start my rehab. It’s been three weeks now since I did the operation. So ja, I will be out for two months.

“I aggravated it at the gym, and made it worse during our first-round game against Arrows. So, from there that’s where I started feeling a discomfort and I relaxed a bit, always attending to a physio, not aware that an operation was needed.

“I will be okay though, they have already repaired the damage. So actually, I will only start playing again next season.”

TS Galaxy are currently in eighth place in the DStv Premiership standings with 26 points after 21 matches.

They will next be in action at home against TTM on Saturday, 10 April.

Kick-off is at 17:00.
