Dollar Tree Stores Inc., the company that owns Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores, has decided to change its policy once again on wearing face masks in their stores as a result of the coronavirus.
The retailer’s website saying “to help protect one another and in accordance with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention we are requiring all associates, customers and vendors to wear face coverings when inside our stores,” WUSA-TV (Channel 9) reported.
The company previously mandated on July 8 for all people in their stores to wear face coverings, but changed the policy on July 16, only requiring employees to wear masks, while customers were only requested to do so.
The company said it will install Plexiglas guards at cash registers and will launch an employee health screening program.
Dollar Tree joins retailers such as Costco, Walmart, Target and Best Buy in its requirement of face coverings.
