Black Press publishers are public servants, focused on addressing the needs and interests of their readers in print and online. However, they share a trait that differentiates them from many of the other public servants whose thoughts and opinions influence our realities: They live AND work in the communities they serve.

In small offices, storefronts and converted homes all over the country, the Black Press can be found on the same blocks and avenues where the news they are reporting on has just occurred. That presence… that nearness… that commitment… matters.
