WHO: The Salvation Army Milwaukee County and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are teaming up to bring food to families in need in Milwaukee.
WHAT: Drive-thru food box giveaway. Up to 1,000 registrants will receive $30 worth of non-perishable food items and a $20 Pick ‘n Save gift card to purchase perishable food items (limit of one box per family).
WHEN: The event will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 3. Media availability with The Salvation Army, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Milwaukee Brewers from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Opening remarks will begin at 10:45 a.m.
WHERE: Miller Park parking lot (Money lot, directions attached)
WHY: With COVID-19 still at the forefront, many parents have to make the tough choice between school supplies, groceries, the electric bill or insurance. This is a small way for us to help those in need. This program is sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Social Development Commission.
