Tamyra Mensah-Stock, from Katy, Texas took home the gold in the Tokyo Olympics. Mensah-Stock is only the second American woman to ever win an Olympic wrestling gold medal after beating Nigeria’s Blessing Oborududu 4-1 in women’s 68-kilogram (150 pounds) freestyle wrestling final Tuesday.

The 28-year-old Mensah-Stock, who won two state championships at Katy’s Morton Ranch High School, rolled through her competition in Japan, beating defending Olympic champion Sara Dosho 10-0 in the first round, then shutting out China’s Feng Zhao by the same score. She defeated former world champion Alla Cherkasova from Ukraine 10-4 in the semifinals.

The only other American woman to win a wrestling gold was Helen Maroulis at 116 pounds in 2016.
