Keith A. Perry Named The New Executive Director Of The National Dental Association

GREENBELT, MD. — The National Dental Association (NDA)
the world’s largest and oldest organization of minority oral health professionals recently announced the appointment of veteran association executive, Keith Andrew Perry as its next Executive Director.

“We’re very excited to have him aboard, said NDA Board Chairman Nathan Fletcher, D.D.S.” “Keith is a talented, nationally recognized association executive with over 30 years of highly relevant leadership experience in the political, governmental, nonprofit and association sectors,” Dr. Fletcher continued.

Perry’s extensive career in both the public and association sectors includes service in the
Maryland General Assembly Department of Legislative Reference, as Legislative Counsel for the Maryland Department of Health, in a series of D.C. Mayoral appointments including Special Assistant to the Director of the D.C. Department of Human Rights and Minority Business Development and as Chief of Staff to the late former Mayor and Ward 8 Council member Marion Barry. Perry has also served in several D.C. based non-profits and as Executive Director of the National Bar Association. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Civic Engagement and Ethics at the University of the District of Columbia.

I am deeply humbled by the opportunity to work with the members of the NDA as we together advance the important objectives of this indispensable organization. I thank the Board sincerely for the trust they have reposed in me. I consider this the pinnacle of my career,” said Perry.

Perry earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Morehouse College and a Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law. Among his many local political and community service activities, Perry serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Woodridge Warriors Youth Organization in Washington, D.C.
