Parks After Dark Winter Wonderland returns snow days to LA County parks

A popular Los Angeles County Parks & Recreation program, dubbed Parks After Dark Winter Wonderland, is set to makes it return to the Southland this week — bigger and better than ever.

Aside from crafting opportunities, toy giveaways and festive snack stands offered during the Winter Wonderland event, Parks & Rec Snow Patrollers will haul 40 tons of snow to LA-area parks, beginning Friday, to transform them into enchanting holiday destinations.

New to the Winter Wonderland festivities this year: Mega snow days, with 80 tons of snow at a few parks and double the opportunity for yuletide fun.
