Dear Editor,
Residents living at Good Hope Phase Three on the East Coast of Demerara are calling on the relevant authorities to investigate and remove squatters who are taking up illegal residency on Government reserves and private properties.
These squatters are involved in all sorts of illegal activities which are affecting law-abiding citizens daily; some of these activities include illegal GPL and GWI connectivity and planting and selling of marijuana. Adding to this, they are dumping and burning garbage on the roadways and blasting offensive music day and night.
Editor, these squatters have been destroying our peaceful community, and even more frustrating, after we have invested so much money in this village, we are now forced to consider selling out our properties far below market value just to keep our families safe.
