The couple was finally spotted out and about in Los Angeles, even as they weather repeated PR crises

As they hunker down in a borrowed Los Angeles home, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be finding that their escapist fantasy wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be, especially during the global pandemic.

Meghan is weathering one PR crisis after the next, including the apparent death of her close friendship with Canadian stylist Jessica Mulroney -- a woman who is weathering accusations of racism and who may be among the five chums who spoke anonymously to the press on Meghan’s behalf about Markle’s fractious relationship with her dad. Now, as Page Six reports, Jessica is reportedly considering writing a tell-all about her broken friendship with the Duchess of Sussex, as Meghan is also known.

As for Harry, he is apparently suffering from regret after bolting from the inner circle of the British Royal family earlier this year in favor of home living in the wilds of L.A, according to the Daily Star. Now the tables have turned and he’s the foreign fish out of water in his marriage instead of Meghan Markle.

The Daily Mail reports on a recent spotting of Harry and Meghan Markle, who emerged from their home for a mysterious appointment in Beverly Hills on Friday.

Pictures obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com show the former Royals protecting themselves from both the sun and coronavirus as they donned face masks and hats while collecting their car from a valet in their new neighborhood Friday afternoon.

Harry, who has made a name for himself as an environmentalist and is repeatedly pilloried for his substantial carbon footprint, was seen leaving a building along with the equally eco-conscious Meghan and hopping into a gigantic, gas-guzzling Cadillac SUV.

Apparently heading home to their borrowed mansion, Meghan Markle and Harry were dressed to blend in on a scorching hot day in L.A.

Meghan was clad in a loose-fitting Magic Linen cream dress that boasted an asymmetrical cut and cost a clean $76. Along with that, she wore matching cream-and-black Sam Edelman ballet flats. She also had on a sizable straw hat, dark sunglasses and a mask. The masked Harry sported a considerably dressed-down look, with a baseball cap, loose fitting grey polo shirt, jeans and sneakers. Contrasting the SoCal bro ensemble was a pricey-looking gold watch.

Meanwhile, in Canada, Jessica Mulroney, spurned by her home-living pal Meghan Markle and left with her career in shambles thanks to accusations of racism and “white privilege,” is according to Page Six considering the ultimate act of score settling: authoring a tell-all book about her friendship with the African-American actress who married Prince Harry in 2018.

Markle’s former bestie, Jessica Mulroney, is said to be “devastated” that the Duchess won’t talk to her and feels abandoned by her pal, according to a report in the Daily Mail. Even worse for Markle, Mulroney is contemplating writing a tell-all book about their time together in Canada, where Markle lived while filming the TV show “Suits.”

The friendship fall-out is apparently due to the threatening messages that Jessica sent to the Canadian social-media influencer Sasha Exeter, who is a woman of color, after Exeter sought to take Mulroney to task for not publicly supporting Black Lives Matter. Sasha was furious by the response and accused Jessica of seeking to silence the voices of nonwhite people.

Catastrophe for Jessica ensued. She and her privileged husband (the son of a former Canadian prime minister) both lost TV gigs, and she lost her friendship with Meghan. Markle, who along with Harry is reportedly borrowing their L.A. home from African-American film mogul Tyler Perry, has reportedly had enough of Jessica seeking to capitalize on her connection to the duchess.

The Daily Mail recently reported that Jessica has been phoning Meghan Markle repeatedly as the duchess hides out with Harry in the L.A. home. But her flood of calls have been in vain.

As for Harry, since he and Meghan stepped down as senior royals on April 1 and attempted to forge new lives for themselves in her home town of Los Angeles, the Daily Star reports that the Duke of Sussex is “lost.”

Prince Harry feels "lost" in Los Angeles where he is having a similar experience to the one wife Meghan Markle had in the UK, it has been claimed.

This is according to royal author Tom Quinn, who insists that Harry is struggling to find his footing in his new life in an L.A. home with Meghan Markle and their one-year-old son Archie.

Quinn, the author of “Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle,” said, "I've heard from people who have talked to them out there. Harry is really struggling with it, because what's he going to do in LA?”

"I'm not saying Harry absolutely hates it in America,” Quinn continued, “but the point that's been made to me is that there was this new exciting venture to get away from the British press and to make Meghan happy because she's on her own territory. But having got there, Harry does feel slightly lost because he is now experiencing in America what Meghan was experiencing here.”

Now, half a world away from the Sussexes’ L.A. home, comes a Brit’s bitter complaints to the Express about Meghan Markle and Harry’s incessant dithering about how they wanted the choir at their wedding to perform the classic song “Stand By Me.”

[Karen] Gibson from the Kingdom Choir said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were very demanding about what they wanted. And even a visit to Kensington Palace could not make up their mind. The MasterChef contestant said: "They wanted our version of Stand By Me to be like Tracy Chapman's version of Fast Car in that they wanted it really stripped down and pared back and they wanted it to have less beat. "But how can any song have less of a beat? Anyway we couldn't get it right and we did version upon version. "I think the final version was the 12th version and they didn't actually get to listen to it before the Royal Wedding itself. “We took so long getting it right that we ran out of time."
