Snoop Dogg, the legendary artist, has once again made headlines with his controversial advice and opinions. This time, he discussed what it meant to be the supposedly “dumbest” person in one’s group of friends.

The rapper made this comment in a recent Instagram post while recounting an interaction he had with Parrish Smith, one-half of the renowned hip-hop group EPMD.

Smith mentioned a conversation he had with Ice-T, another trailblazer in rap, about the idea of “steel sharpening steel,” an old saying that basically implies that people become stronger or better when they associate with people who have strength, knowledge, and skill.

“If you’re the smartest one in your circle, you’ve got a problem,” Smith said, to which Snoop replied, “I want to be the dumbest one on my team. Because if I’m the dumbest one on the team, that means I got some bad muthaf**kas around me!”

Despite the unconventional tone of Snoop’s statement, HNHH argues that his point of view illustrates the need for humility and the understanding that there is always space for growth. One may constantly learn, adapt, and evolve by surrounding oneself with people who excel in many fields.

Snoop’s support for this idea demonstrates his dedication to progress and greatness. Throughout his career, he teamed up with some of the music industry’s best brains, always striving to enhance his craft and stay at the height of hip-hop culture.

On many occasions, the legendary rapper has displayed a wealth of intelligence and tact in the types of deals he signs on to and agrees to partake in. He also recently revealed his interest in hosting a TV series for kids to further be able to provide advice and knowledge.

Snoop recently shared his thoughts on keeping business strictly business when he said that he does not consume the alcohol he advertises.
