! The NWS has noted that an unstable weather pattern is expected to continue on Monday and over the next few days, and heavy precipitation will be possible. Warm temperatures are also expected, and Heat Advisories and Heat Warnings may be issued. Additionally, a tropical wave is forecast to move across the region around Monday, raising the possibility of rain and thunderstorms.

MONDAY’S WEATHER FORECAST: 5/27/24

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Monday will be mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms as a tropical wave passes across the region. The high temperature will be approximately 88°F, 31.1°C, with winds out of the east at about 13 to 15 mph, gusting up to 20 mph. The Heat Index may be high, and staying hydrated and cool is essential. The chance of rain on Monday is approximately 60 percent, and rain may be heavy at times. Please remember that the ground is very saturated; additional rain could lead to flash flooding or mudslides.
Monday night will be mostly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms. The low temperature will be approximately 78°F, 25.5°C, with winds out of the east at about 13 to 17 mph, gusting up to 22 mph. The possibility of rain on Monday night is roughly 70 percent.

Rip Currents: The risk of rip currents is projected to be low across most of the region on Monday. A slightly higher risk of rip currents is possible across portions of St. Croix.
