Shad “Bow Wow” Moss is using his music to address allegations that he fathered a secret son with Instagram model Olivia Sky.
The 33-year-old rapper shocked fans when he released part of a track called “D.W.M.O.D” (Dealing With My Own Demons) on Sept. 15 in which he opened up about the possibility of being the father of an infant son.
Sky reportedly confirmed when asked that Bow Wow is indeed the father of her son during an Instagram Story chat with fans back in July, stating that she’d kept it a secret because it “saves a lot of headache.”
Bow Wow decided to put his feelings about the paternity situation into his music, hinting to fans that “the answers are there if you LISTEN carefully.”

In a previous version of the caption before editing, Bow Wow revealed that it took him 20 minutes to create the track.
In the song, the “Bounce Wit Me” rapper mentions his 9-year-old daughter Shai, whose mother is Instagram model Joie Chavis, asking about her little brother and not knowing how to respond. “Shai asking me about a brother I don’t know what to say./ That’s gon’ be one of them talks that we have face to face.”
He also revealed that he’s visited his possible son three times and that although he still isn’t sure of the baby’s paternity, he plans on being in the picture if the child is his. “Seen the boy three times, why would I lie?/ Baby moms gon’ bring him through just so we spend some time./ If he mine, sh*t you know I’m steppin’ up./ Kobe set that example, you know I send my blessings up.”
Fans had a wide variety of reactions, from loving the rawness of the song to wondering why Bow felt it was even necessary to write about the personal situation.

“A simple dna test would’ve been fine but go off,” a fourth clowned.
Whether or not Bow Wow has taken that last fan’s advice and gotten a DNA test yet remains to be seen.
