Hazel Lynn Clark Harris was born to the late L.B. Clark and Doris E. Clark on April 29, 1953, in Taylor, Texas. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1970 and later earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Texas Women University in 1974. Hazel spent 43 years at Parkland Hospital on 5 West. Hazel became a member of the glorious sisterhood:

Hazel had a relationship with the Lord and was baptized at an early age at Zion AME Church in Elgin, Tx. After college and later Saint Paul AME Church. Hazel married James Harris on June 29, 1985. James was a dedicated and faithful husband up until death. To this union one child was born, Jonathan. Hazel is proceeded in death by her parents L.B. And Doris Clark. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband James Harris of 37 years; her son Jonathan Harris(Amber) and grandson Jaxon; one brother Chester Clark; two sisters LaTanza Jones(Norman) and Sandra Jackson; two nephews; two great-nieces; five great nephews; a host of relatives and many friends.
