Region Four man, 51, is 65th COVID fatality

A fifty-one-year-old man from Region Four was reported by the Ministry of Health (MoH) to have died yesterday as a result of COVID-19. The COVID-19 death toll is now at 65.

The man was said to have died at 3pm yesterday while receiving care at the Georgetown Public Hospital, a press release from the MoH said.

Meanwhile, the dashboard records an increase of 101 new cases as of yesterday with 82 of the new cases confirmed for Region 4 alone. The remaining cases are from regions 1, 3, 8, and 9.

One new person has been admitted a patient to the COVID-19 ICU which now records a total of 16 patients. Eighty-three persons are in institutional isolation, one more than Saturday’s 82.

A total of 2,269 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed to date while September has so far recorded 896 new cases.
