‘Errrrrrr’: Kenya Moore’s Uplifting Message Goes Left When Fans Call Out Her Feud with Nene Leakes

Kenya Moore is one of the latest celebrities to join the “My Black Is Beautiful” social media challenge. The premise of the internet phenomenon is to promote Black beauty and excellence by posting a fierce photo of oneself on Instagram and writing an inspirational message in the caption. At the end of the posting, the user is supposed to tag their friends and encourage them to participate.

On Sunday, June 7, the reality star of “The Real Housewives of Atlantaposted a photo on Instagram that showed her wearing a white low-cut blazer with what appeared to be rhinestone pants. Her 24-inch hair was curled and flowed past her shoulders. With a face full of neutral-toned makeup, the 49-year-old Moore struck her pose with her hands on her hips and her feet spread apart.

Moore’s co-star Eva Marcille urged her to take on the challenge, which Marcille forwarded as: “We are BLACK WOMEN! We build.. We don’t tear down other BLACK WOMEN!! We have felt the pain of being torn down and have decided that we will be deliberate about building others! Far too often, us women find it easier to criticize each other instead of building each other up. With all of the negativity going around, let’s do something positive!”

Moore replied, “Challenge accepted,” and her post received over 34,000 likes and some 900 comments from fans expressing the idea that Moore “tears down” her “RHOA” cast mates.

“Errrrrrr, seems like you guys on RHOA live to tear each other down…🙄.”

“We will see if you continue to tear Nene down.”

“Kenya …..You probably shouldn’t have accepted this challenge. Eva is setting you up😂🤣.”

“You tear @neneleakes down. And others on the show for a check. So stop it.”

“Giiiiirl all you do is tear down other black women and most of us have witnessed it on tv. Let’s hope you do better.”

“You get paid to tear down black women🤦🏾‍♀️.”

Moore’s nonexistent friendship with her co-star Nene Leakes was one of the biggest storylines during season 12. Moore claimed on the Nov. 5 episode of “The Wendy Williams Show” that Leakes never called her during her high-risk pregnancy with her daughter Brooklyn Daly. The former Miss USA winner also alleged that Leakes called her daughter a buffalo when Moore was pregnant.

During a cast trip to Greece, Leakes clarified that she was not talking about her child and explained that the comment was directed to Moore. The former “Glee” star tried to extend an olive branch and apologize to Moore for her comments, but Moore did not accept her apology.

At the season 12 reunion, Leakes expressed that there was a rumor going around that suggested Moore didn’t use her own eggs to have her daughter. Moore threw shots at Leakes’ appearance, insinuating that her makeup made her look like “a white woman in drag.”
