Creative community of west Dallas with a self-guided art walk tour, new murals, & live music.

DALLAS—Founded in 2015 by the West Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Art Walk West annually celebrates the creative culture of West Dallas, which has one of the city’s largest concentrations of artists and artist studios. On Saturday, October 22, 2022 Art Walk West is back for another round. The eighth annual event is free and open to the public, winding through Trinity Groves and the emerging Tin District of art studios and spaces. Art enthusiasts from DFW and beyond can experience the thriving creative movement that continues to grow at the foot of the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge.
This year, Art Walk West will feature an outdoor walking and driving self-guided tour, as it aspires to create a safe space for community connection through the arts, while also lifting up artistic voices that celebrate the creative movement happening in West Dallas.
Attendees are encouraged to start their tour on Fabrication Street, which is the center of the day’s activities. This is also where they can pick up a free map & program of the schedule of events at 611 Fabrication Street. Stops on the Art Walk West map include Tin District artist studios, West Dallas art spaces and galleries, Art Park at Trinity Groves, the Fabrication Yard (Dallas’ only legal graffiti zone), and 13 new public mural works with the week-long Wild West Mural Fest. There will be a sound stage provided by the AT&T Performing Arts Center and ArtsBridge—Powered by Toyota—located on Fabrication Street with two live performances:
American Baroque Opera at 1:00pm, and Bidi Bidi Banda, an Austin-based Selena cover band, at 2:00pm. Also some of West Dallas’ most important artists and galleries will be participating, including Sweet Pass Sculpture Park, Cluley Projects, Ro2 Art, 500x and Daisha Board Gallery.

The 8th annual Art Walk West will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information, please visit https://westdallaschamber.org/ or https://tindistrict.com
