YWCA Greater Pittsburgh’s Early Child Development and Education Center in Homewood is now hiring an Assistant Group Supervisor. The Assistant Group Supervisor will assist in the implementation of daily activities under the guidance of the Group Supervisor towards the goal of quality programming (in particular, PA DHS Certification regulations, Keystone STARS criteria and NAEYC requirements for accreditation) for all groups in the Children and Youth Development and Education Department. PRE-K COUNTS TEACHER
YWCA Greater Pittsburgh’s Early Child Development and Education Center in Homewood is now hiring a Pre-K Counts Classroom Teacher. The Pre-Kindergarten Teacher works as part of a team made up of the Children and Youth Development and Education Department Director, Group Leaders, Assistant Group Leaders, Aides, Cook and clerical staff. She/he ensures the coordination of quality program (PA Pre-K Counts, NAEYC and OCDEL requirements for accreditation) for 3 to 5-year-old children in the Children and Youth Development and Education Department. This is a 10-month position.
The ideal candidate will possess Bachelor’s Degree and ECE certification from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or child development OR Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or child development with proof of teacher plan to achieve ECE certification. Current Act 33/34 clearances, fingerprinting, National Sex Offender Registry Clearance, and criminal background checks as well as Mandated Reporter training are required. Assistant Manager
of Inventory
Port Authority is seeking an Assistant Manager of Inventory to ensure the availability of parts and materials to support the Operations division parts rooms. To manage the inventory replenishment process and activity of the Receiver as well as maintaining a training process. Manages receivers at satellite parts rooms. Assists Manager of Inventory & Operations Distribution with the receipt, stocking, movement and tracking of parts and materials at the warehouses and storerooms, and management of Storeroom employees.
Essential Functions:
•Establish and perform the replenishment process for stock items and quantity of items that are stocked at the bu operation parts rooms 9Fleet Management of Information Systems Business Units) by coach type and number of coaches assigned to each bus operating location.
•Establish and update reorder points and quantities, safety stock, maximum quantities and 1-A’s for bus operating locations including any necessary coordination with Garage Receiver, Garage Foreman and Maintenance Manager relative to inventory demands.
•Manages the Receivers at each (FMIS Business Units) bus operating location in the performance of their job duties, including, but not limited to, scheduling of vacations, and filling shifts for call-offs.
Job requirements include:
•High school diploma or GED.
•BA/BS Degree in Business or related field. Directly related experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.
•Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in parts procurement, inventory field or directly related field.
•Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in auto/diesel mechanical repairs or fleet maintenance.
•Minimum of two (2) years’ supervisor experience.
•Experience in the use of parts manuals and catalogs.
•Effective oral and written communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability in the use of PeopleSoft, Windows NT, Word, Excel, and Access.
Preferred attributes:
•Experience in Statistical Process Control.
•Certification in CPIM modules.
•Basics in supply chain management.
•Inventory management.
