Jamaica records 57 new COVID cases in six days

Overall, there have been 711 recoveries. Meanwhile, the Health Ministry says there are now 71 active COVID cases in Jamaica.

Jamaica today recorded 10 more imported COVID cases.

This means since the start of the week, there have been 57 new cases pushing the tally to 831.

Of the 10 cases confirmed Friday, six are females and four are males aged 16 to 63 years.

Four of the new patients are of Westmoreland addresses, two from  Kingston and St Andrew, and one from St James, St Ann, Clarendon and Hanover, respectively.

Nine of them arrived on flights from the United States and one arriving via cruise ship recently.

At the same time, overall, there have been 711 recoveries.
