Eva Marcille threw a Juneteenth-themed bash at her home in Alpharetta, Georgia, on Saturday, June 20. The former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta“ reality star invited her former castmates Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore as well as their spouses and children.
The 35-year-old supermodel had a spread of food in addition to an inflatable swimming pool for the children. Kenya shared a thread of photos of the party in an Instagram post and thanked Eva for planning the event. She wrote: “Thank you @evamarcille for an amazing day celebrating. #Juneteenth@thebrooklyndaly didn’t want to leave and your family and friends are just as woke as you are. We love you.”
In one image, Kenya’s 1-year-old daughter Brooklyn Daly is playing in the water with Eva’s 2-year-old son Michael Sterling Jr. and his 8-month-old brother Maverick Sterling. Brooklyn wore a long dress and a headband, while Michael and Maverick sported swimwear. Michael entertained himself with a football as Brooklyn and Maverick were sharing their toys.
Some fans gushed over the youngsters’ friendship. One user wrote: “Brookie & Mikey 😍,” followed by another that stated, “Brooklyn and Mikey are so adorable 😩💖.” Other fans were obsessing over Brooklyn’s formal swimsuit attire. “Brooklyn already a diva, swimming in her dress😂😍❤️,” and another said, “I love the fact she’s in the pool in her dress. 💗💗💗💗💗💗.”
A few people implied that they were shocked to see Brooklyn at Eva’s event since Eva did not allow her children to attend Brooklyn’s “presentation” party. During season 12, Kenya threw her daughter a Barbie-themed party in an effort to introduce her to the cast. The Los Angeles native showed up to the event without her children and revealed in the episode that she did not know Kenya that well and was uncomfortable bringing her kids to the event because she did not know what the energy would be like. Since Kenya and Eva are now friends, a user jokingly wrote, “I am happy you both have “good energy” now😂.”
Eva later clarified her statement in a 2019 interview with “The Real.” The radio personality of “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show” explained that her children were in school during the time of Brooklyn’s party. “My kids are in school. Her kid is still in a stroller. Like, it really wasn’t that deep. And my kids don’t know her kids yet,” she said.
