Washington state officials have authorized state-licensed cannabis retailers to offer residents a free marijuana joint in exchange for getting a coronavirus vaccine.
The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board said that retailers can offer one pre-rolled marijuana joint to adult residents 21 and older “who receive a vaccination at an in-store vaccination clinic,” CNN reported.
The board’s “Joints for Jabs” program will end on July 12.
As of Friday, Washington had administered roughly 7.2 million vaccine doses, or about 87% of its available supply, according to a state-run tracker.
