The Washington Football Team will now require fans to wear masks while in all indoor areas of FedEx Field.
The new policy applies to everyone regardless of vaccination status, the team announced Tuesday.
In outdoor spaces, fully vaccinated fans don’t need to wear face coverings. However, unvaccinated people are advised to keep masks on at all times except when consuming food or drink.
The Landover, Md., stadium is located in Prince George’s County, where new coronavirus cases jumped by nearly 48% from the previous week in the most recent county data.
The team will take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Friday’s preseason home opener.
