ACADEMY FOR FOREIGN COACHES OF THE GERMAN ATHLETICS ASSOCIATION – TRACK AND FIELD COACHING DIPLOMA
The Department of Education, Innovation and Gender Relations informs of the call for applications by Academy for Foreign Coaches of the German Athletics Association for Track and Field Coaching Diploma.
Information for Applicants:
- Duration of the course – 12 months
- Start of application – immediately
- Deadline for applications – 20 April 2021
- Notification – 31 May 2021
- Average age – 25-40 years
After a 4-month German Language course (prior knowledge is not necessary), the athletics-specific technical training takes place in Germany. Upon passing the final exam, an athletics trainer diploma and a World Athletics certificate awarded by the International Athletics Federation will be issued.
Application documents:
- Completed application form (attached)
- Medical Certificate (laboratory results must not be older than 3 months; the attached form must be kept confidential
- Recommendation/letter of support from the national athletic governing body
- 1 biometric passport-size photo
- Proof of personal experience as an athlete/coach/sports teacher in the field of athletics
- Bio-data page of valid passport
Other information:
Kindly note that participants will be responsible for defraying all costs associated with their travel to and from Germany. However, the organisers will cover the costs of the following:
- Tuition fees for language and professional training
- Monthly stipend of 400 Euros
- Accommodation and full board at the Academy for Foreign Coaches
- Health Insurance (does not include pre-existing illness and dental prosthesis)
- Teaching material
- One-time warm-clothing allowance
Completed application forms should be submitted to the Human Resource Development (HRD) Unit of the Department of Education, Innovation and Gender Relations, 4th Floor, Francis Compton Building, The Waterfront, Castries. Applicants should note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
The deadline to submit completed applications is on or before Tuesday, April 20, 2021. PLEASE NOTE THAT APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE DEADLINE.
