Wismar businesswoman robbed at gunpoint

A businesswoman of Wismar, Linden was held at gunpoint and robbed of a quantity of cash and her cellular phone on Saturday night.

Police in a statement yesterday said that the thirty-six-year-old victim of Block 22, Wismar, Linden was sitting on a bench at a Stone Wall Wash Bay located at Prosville Squatting Area, Wismar Linden when she was attacked.

The robbery occurred around 8 pm and the woman was robbed of her Samsung S10 cellular phone valued at $210,000 and $65,000 in cash.

According to investigations, the woman operates the vehicle washing facility with her husband but at the time of the robbery she was alone.  She was sitting on a bench under a shed when the bandit approached her. Police said the bandit, who had a bandana tied around his head walked up to the woman and pointed the gun at her face as he simultaneously demanded cash.

The bandit then proceeded to push his hands into the woman’s pocket and took out the cash from her pocket. He also grabbed her phone from the table before making good his escape on foot in the direction of Wisroc, Linden.

No arrest has been made and investigations are ongoing.
