Eldorado Park has been rocked by several mass shootings in recent months, and residents are up in arms about the high levels of crime in the area.
In September, a group of residents camped outside the local police station to demand action from the police and local government. The local councillor said there had been at least 19 shootings, which had resulted in seven deaths.
In June, four Eldorado Park residents, including two pupils, were hit by stray bullets. The Lancea Vale Secondary School pupils, aged 18 and 19, were on their way home after school when they were shot.
In August, seven teenagers were shot when gunmen opened fire on them at a block of flats. One of the boys, Benjamin Leisegang, died in the incident.
