My wife Alicia was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen in my life. When I met her in the library years ago, I nearly froze in my tracks. Never had I seen a more beautiful smile and delicious body, connected to a woman who clearly cared about academic success. Alicia is now a full professor of Social Work and licensed therapist. She encouraged me to lose weight by running a marathon together. We’ve taken 130 trips together and traveled to 10 countries, working and playing at the same time. She also leads our Black Financial Therapy Department at The Black Business School, doing original academic research on the psychological barriers that keep our families from building Black Wealth. She also helps us sort out the impact that generational trauma and stress from the corporate plantation have on our ability to be successful.
