“If your dream is only about you, it’s too small.” — Ava Duvernay, filmmaker and truth-teller

ZORA fam, we’re a community of women with big ambitions and big hearts. We know that when one of us wins, we all win. That’s why it’s important when we set and go after our goals, we also think about the ways we can open doors for others. To serve and advocate for each other, where we are and when we can.

Serena Williams is doing it with Serena Ventures, which funds companies created by women and people of color. According to Forbes, 60% of Serena’s investments have gone to women-led and POC-led companies. Ava Duvernay does it when she achieves gender parity — more than 50% of production roles for the TV show Cherish The Day went to women.

Now that’s good looking out. — Christina M. Tapper, ZORA deputy editor

ZORA fam, what big dreams do you have that will open doors for others? Let us know. #ZORACheckIn
