Sometimes, you just want to use what’s in your pantry and freezer, making something delicious for yourself and the family. These garlic butter stuffed chicken breasts are simple yet has loads of flavour which you can make for your family any night and if you’re following a healthy diet, you can change things up and enjoy something nutritious too.

Garlic butter stuffed chicken breasts

If you don’t want the extra fat from the butter but still want bacon, just add a bit of olive oil over top with the garlic and you can season the chicken with garlic salt too. This recipe is also air fryer friendly, so you can preheat your fryer to the same temperature and just cut cooking time in half on each side. Serve these tasty chicken and bacon pockets with some roasted vegetables and sweet potato fries for a healthy and delicious family meal.

Ingredients

  • 6 6 skinless chicken breasts

  • 6 rashers 6 bacon

  • 6 6 slices of cheese

  • 100 ml 100 garlic butter

  • salt & pepper

  • fresh thyme sticks

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Make an incision in every chicken breast. Place a piece of bacon and cheese in every incision.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a greased oven pan.
  • Cube the garlic butter and place over the chicken. Garnish with thyme and season to taste.
  • Bake covered in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 20 minutes.
